Fantastic post however I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this subject?
I'd be very thankful if you could elaborate a little bit further.

Took about 2 hours--75 years old and found the trail after the bridge very steep and was glad I had my hiking pole.
Beach beautiful. Walk back up on wide gravel trail good but still quite a climb. I think I would rate the trail going down past the falls area as difficult but the rest I would rate as moderate

Beautiful and serene hike overall. Clearly marked, easy hike down to the Bight and then there are 2 options back up: The way you came down or via the cascade trail (more intense). Either way, its uphill and expect it to take a bit over an hour total without factoring a nice long break and picnic.

I'm not so sure it shouldn't be 2 hours! The first part of the Cascade trail from the water side was an absolute wall! And most of the McKenzie bight trail was appreciably steep as well. We spent 20 minutes or so at the water and took a good 110 minutes to complete the trail. My question is, how is this trail moderate? A novice hiker would have all manner of cramps by the time they came out.

Second what Bronwyn said. Just completed this trail in around 1 hour, my fitness level is low enough that I had to catch my breath several times. The listed time is definitely off.

Listed time is 2h, but I completed this in 1h, including taking some time at the water to enjoy the view. My fitness level is nothing special so I think the listed time may be off on this.

A steep section of the route that passes several trees in the middle of the trail to Mount Work.
