About Us

Victoria Trails builds on the existing online hiking resources in the region, including Vancouver Trails and Tofino Trails. The original idea for a hiking resource website began as a photo gallery of trails that Mike had done. When friends and family kept asking where the trails were and what to expect on the hikes, the time came to develop the gallery into a website and so launched Vancouver Trails in 2007.

Fast forward to July 2015 and the time came to launch a hiking resource website for the southern Vancouver Island region, primarily focussing on Victoria, Saanich, and Sooke.

The goal of Victoria Trails is to promote hiking and outdoor activity in the region by encouraging locals and tourists to enjoy the beautiful Vancouver Island scenery. The Victoria Trails team has worked tirelessly to gather consistent information on the local hiking routes from first hand experience.

If you have questions, comments, feedback, or suggestions for the Victoria Trails team, we would love to hear from you.

Happy Hiking
