Overview
Hole In The Wall is a unique man-made rock formation along Rogers Creek near Port Alberni where a hole was blasted through the rocks for a water pipe project. The water pipe was later removed but a waterfall exists where the hole remains and the spot has become a popular attraction to visit.
The trailhead to Hole In The Wall is located along the south side of Highway #4, across the street and a bit east from the Coombs Country Candy Store. There is some parking on the south side of the highway but do not park in the candy store's parking lot. Also, crossing the highway is not recommended as cars are traveling very quickly.
From the start of the trail next to Highway #4, walk into the forest and follow the wide path. When it reaches an opening, go right at the junction and continue to follow a gravel road. At a second junction, go left and this portion of trail will take you right to the spot along Rogers Creek where the Hole In The Wall stands.
After enjoying the attraction, walk back in the direction you arrived, going right onto the gravel road and then to the opening. Go left at the junction and return to the trailhead next to Highway #4.
