Scafe Hill

Not sure why this is *the* Scafe Hill hike listed on here, given that it's not on maps, not marked, and neither the Scafe Hill Loop Trail nor Scafe Hill Summit Trail (both of which are). There's lots of little routes and desire paths up the hill, no idea what makes this one special.

Anyway: it's a very short, straightforward, rather steep climb uphill through the forest that ends with a kind of underwhelming lookout. Even on a clear day the view was nice but nothing special. Much better hikes in the region.

Great tough but relatively short hike. Use the directions given on this site, we missed the turn off the main trail and had to double back. The side trail looks like a dried up river almost so it is easily missed. Such a great view at the top, would be a great stop for a picnic/lunch. We reached the top in about 30 min.

It's a short hike up to the top however the steepness made our heartbeats rise and our backs sweat. It was quite foggy so the view wasn't great but we did see a couple of eagles soaring.
